Product Update: Booking.com Property Sync'ing

    If you are currently using MyVR's Booking.com application, the following product update has import information that may be relevant to your account. Please read it carefully.

    We're excited to announce the broad release of Booking.com property syncing. Starting on January 14th, 2019, all accounts using MyVR's Booking.com integration to manage listings on Booking.com will include full property sync'ing automatically.

    What is Booking.com Property Sync'ing?
    Booking.com property sync'ing allows MyVR to update the property data in your connected Booking.com account with the latest property data in your MyVR account. This let's you keep a single set of authoritative property data - descriptions, amenities, fees, photos, and more - in MyVR and have it sync'd to Booking.com automatically. This is particularly helpful for fee management, as you can be assured all fees in MyVR are synchronized with Booking.com. With the release of Booking.com property sync'ing, MyVR is now able to offer full property sync'ing for all channels we support.

    Background
    When we first released our Booking.com application, we did so with a limited set of critical functionality focused on processing bookings. Users were still required to setup properties and all associated data manually in Booking.com. For the last 3+ months we've been beta testing property sync'ing with Booking.com. A significant number of accounts are currently using this functionality and we're now opening it up to all connected accounts.

    How Will this Affect My Account?
    If you are currently using Booking.com property syncing, there will be no changes to your account. We will continue to sync property data from your MyVR account to Booking.com.

    If you are currently using MyVR's Booking.com integration and not taking advantage of property sync'ing, we will automatically enable this functionality on January 14th, 2019. This will ensure your connected properties have the latest data from your MyVR account, including all descriptions, amenities, photos, fees, etc. Please make sure your property data in MyVR is up-to-date prior to January 14th, 2019. If you have questions or concerns about this upcoming change, please reach out to MyVR support prior to January 14th.

    If you're not currently using MyVR's Booking.com integration, we encourage you to check it out. It's a great distribution channel that can drive incremental bookings to your existing inventory and help boost your revenue. And with our new property sync’ing functionality, the integrations is more powerful that ever before.
