I have a renter who is saying the payment portal is not working. Are we able to test it? If so, how would this work?
Hi @Mathieu-Rosinsky - for the payments to be submitted on your website, the following needs to happen in your MyVR account:
- you must have an active Stripe merchant account set up
- the website needs to be published
- the property being booked must be active
It isn’t possible to use a test website for this, but you can try the booking flow yourself and then cancel the booking and refund your payment. You could temporarily set up a $1 nightly rate (probably way in the future) to make the payment small.
If you are still having issues past that, please use the Support button in your account to submit an issue.
@Markus-Nordvik - you could also decline the reservation once requested, and then the card won’t be charged? That won’t test the final processing, but it does test the booking end of it.
Hi @Jenny-Oest - yes, definitely true, and a good idea. If you do not need to test the payment processing piece, and you do not have instant booking turned on, you could submit a booking request from your website and then decline it.
