DO I lose 6 months of membership when switching and paying for the new plan from my old Legacy plan?
The deadline for upgrading to the new plan with the discount is tomorrow. My current 2-year plan doesn’t expire until July. It looks like when I go to renew now to get the discount offered on the upgraded 2-year plan, I may be losing the 6 months (between now and July) that I had previously paid for. That doesn’t seem right? Anyone have same issue?
When you upgrade your account we prorate the amount you have remaining on your old plan. So if you have until July remaining on your old plan, you will see the relevant amount subtracted from your new payment. This is shown on the last step when you can view all detail of your upgrade.
Hope that makes sense!
Okay, that answers one question. I have looked through the community and can’t find answers to my other questions:
After my current legacy subscription ends in July, can I renew with my current plan? And what will the price be? Last time, in July 2015, I paid $432 for 2 years.
I have only received two inquiries total for my home though this website in the 1.5 years I have been a member. All my inquiries come through my existing VRBO page. I don’t want to start that over because I have lots of reviews and so forth. I only use the MYVR.com as the design and management for my website pages. I don’t need all the other new features offered. So why would I move to the new plan that seems a little more expensive?
Thank you so much for answering!!
If you don’t use, and don’t want to use, any other features, I think you’re fine where you are. In the future, we could add features focused on driving traffic to your website, but right now that’s not really what customers are generally asking for (but be sure to tell us what YOU want via our “Vote for Features” tool).
Given your comment on inquiries, I would, however, consider looking into our SEO strategy offering in the Services Marketplace if you’re looking to get more traffic to your website. I took a quick look at your site, and there’s definitely opportunities to do more on-site SEO configuration, build out more content, start a blog, and more. It can be done, but it doesn’t come easily. We’ve blogged in the past both about whether or not to pursue SEO, as well as the purposes of a website outside of SEO:
Of course, there are other digital marketing services you could pursue outside of SEO, but with one property, that’s not usually the most economical path to bookings.
Could you speak to what the pricing looks like for me in July when I renew for 2 more years? Last time it was $432. Will it be the same?
Thanks so much! Seems like I should stick with where I am at for now.
Your price would remain the same.
