Turn off Instant book for just a month

Hello, this is a question for those of you using channel management with VRBO and Airbnb. I use Instant Book but I want to turn it off only for booking requests for the month of July (we have problems with bad renters during that month so I want to have the ability to vet them).
So is there a way to do this, either through MyVR (ideal) or through Airbnb and VRBO directly? Please let me know your ideas!

I had a similar question regarding changes to this as well as to booking policies (for summer months I would like to have a different cancellation policy than non-summer). I was told that VRBO was working on it and when they have it available that they will work with the channel provider to get it set up.Alas, they have not yet added this feature to VRBO.

thanks @Carole - I am hearing the same thing. Looks like I may just have to up my prices in the month of July and keep my fingers crossed.

@john-klein If you are using the Plus version of MyVR you may consider screening tenants with Safely.
P.S. Nice work on your website. The 10 day forecast and closest airport are great ideas.

@joseph-sennish thanks for the suggestion. My issue isn’t so much the screening step. Its the fact that I use Instant Booking so I don’t really get the chance to screen, without having to cancel a reservation after the fact. And I do want to have Instant Booking, normally, just not in July.

@john-klein I believe you can set Instant Book so that it’s only available to:
- ID Verified, or
- Guests with Rental history

@john-klein I was thinking of ABB, but I believe it’s also an option for HA-VRBO.
