Solved Anchoring text
-
Anyone using any sort of anchoring text on their pages?
In case you’re not familiar, this is text which visitors can click to jump down to a particular section on the web page.
Are there any ways to implement this functionality?

I’ve wanted that same option for my newsletters. Please post if you learn how!

@jenny-oest - I’ve found a bit of information about it on this site:
When you use the “Create Link” gadget on the text writer for MYVR you’re essentially doing what this site describes. The problem is we want to create links within the same page and in order to do that it would now become a two step process instead of just one -
-
First you have to create the HTML link with an HTML page component
-
then you have to tell the link where to go to on the page with a second one.
Like I said, this can be done with the HTML Page component but when I tried it it doesn’t work. Not sure if it’s the way I set it up or if it’s an issue with the Bootstrap3 module MYVR uses to let us write code onto our pages.

@darrell-looney112 - A support ticket on this will get you the answer to that. I’m excited to add that option to my newsletter posts next time around if you get it working!

We do seem to have some anchors in the MyVR website Template we’re using.
If you look at each listing, Overview, Amenities, Rates & Availability, Local Information and Reviews are in a top menu and take the surfer to that section of the page…
For example: https://coastestate.co/luxuryvacationrentals/carmels-sea-struck/

@joseph-sennish Yes, those are all Anchor type “elements” in HTML. We are looking to achieve the same function with text sections in our web site copy in order to have more simplified web pages and navigation menus.
-
@joseph-sennish I’d like to use them in my blog post newsletter to link my web links to different sections.

@darrell-looney112 The bad part being, I did that so long ago, I don’t remember how I did it.
But here is where I usually find my answers:
