Can you add new Stripe accounts to new properties?
I would like to add two new properties to my existing website. Am I able to set up new Stripe accounts for each property so that the monies are deposited into separate bank accounts to different property owners?
@jess-milligan - When creating subaccounts, will ALL of the accounts still maintain the same terms/rates?
@jenny-oest my understanding is that it’s a completely new bank account you’re setting up, therefore nothing is copied over (ex. settings/terms/rates) from any previous accounts tied to the log in.
We use three Stripe accounts. One for Long Term (30+ day properties). One for Short Term, one for Hotel Management .
I have not noticed any difference in rates, because they are normally all over the place anyways…
Card processing Rates are primarily driven by the following factors:
Type of Rewards
I was checking out B of A’s Merchant Processing rate sheet for our Hotel project last summer. Literally thousands of rates because of all the Affinity cards on the market.
@Jenny-Oest When I split my Stripe account into paying out to a different account for my Chicago properties they still considered it a new “account” even though it is under the same dashboard. This meant that for the first several months my payouts were delayed for Chicago bookings. I called them and explained I was the same account owner and they removed the delay. All of the other terms are the same.
@carole - good to know. I may need to split into a separate account per property, but I want my same processing rates and terms.
