It looks like the Pet Fee that's included in the Fee Settings is linked to the guest selecting the checkoff box the "Pets" (along with the number of adults and children).
This is correct. The special "Pet Fee" fee type is also used in our fully integrated channels. Any fee recorded as a "Pet Fee" will be included in bookings made through channels where the renter has recorded that they will be bringing pets.
MyVR peeps - anything coming soon about integrating TripAdvisor and VacationHomeRentals?
This is something that TripAdvisor has been working on (basically, adding VHR to their integrated platform so that it becomes part of their bundled offering for integrated partners). I don't know the latest timing on this, but we can check in with them and will do so. We should actually see them in a few days at VRMA.
Is that a form you offer your customers too if someone has their own website? like maybe a link similar to the BOOK NOW link?
Unfortunatly we do not offer a pre-built widget to get a quote. If you are comfortable writing custom HTML and JS, you can create your own form and use the MyVR.js Quote function to get a quote based on user input. However, as I mentioned earlier, using both MyVR.js and widgets on the same page can cause issues.
@Danny-Eiden - no it doesn't. I'm trying to update a non-integrated listing from the owner of a property I manage. They still had time left on the listing, so it's live and I wanted to keep the calendar up to date. But now they are receiving names which I don't want them to have - they're too involved...lol
I'm going to disconnect it and return to manual updates.
The change that TripAdvisor is making will not directly affect MyVR users that using the full channel integration for TripAdvisor/FlipKey. Yes there is a change being made by TripAdvisor that will affect MyVR but MyVR will handle all the changes necessary in a manner that will not affect you or the delivery of your inquiries to your inbox.
@Kevin-Stehlin That is a good question. The short answer is yes, but it's imperfect given your objective.
Before answering further, it's worth noting that the Reservations report allows for segmenting by source, so you can see the raw numbers when it comes to a source producing a reservation. If you want to understand that in the context of inquiry volume, you'd have to also look at the Inquiries report (and segment by source there).
I have filed a feature improvement to establish a unique and (always) accurate link between the two exported data sets.
Currently, the linked data between the inquiry and booking data mostly falls into two categories: guest info, stay info. Some examples of each:
For most folks, that information would allow them to have a high degree of accuracy when linking the two data sets.
