This might be way out there, and more work than necessary, depending upon how many guests you're talking about. But...
Is there a way to use Zapier to create a google sheet that parses the date and creates the format you want, and then send the email via Zapier? It wouldn't flow through the MyVR dashboard, unless there is a way to cc it into the dashboard?
@jenny-oest Thanks a lot for surfacing this and providing the instructions. I've used basic custom fields for only a couple items but this opened my eyes to a whole new set of automation for my properties.
@jenny-oest Thank you Jenny. I created two new terms (inadvertently an extra one) but that did not trigger the email. I tried changing the dates in a quote and that didn't trigger anything new, so changed it back in another quote and that didn't trigger.

You are correct, @Carole. Any link you send through Airbnb will be removed. That includes links to virtual tours, property websites, and Facebook pages.

Ideally we would have
#1. house custom fields which could be set for each property
these could be either a person's name, text / html, a number (like a default gate or door code)
#2. reservation custom fields
they should have a default (for example, "pool heating" = off , or door code 1234)
they can easily be changed for each reservation
they can be used as part of templates to the guests or the cleaners, etc
@Mary-Beth-Ericson Stay Emails do not take seasons into account. They are triggered by 4 events:
The emails can go out any number of days before or after these events, but the time of year is not factored into whether they are sent.
Lastly, I changed the OP title slightly in case anyone is searching for this same information later.
@Jenny-Oest I'm going to put in a request for this as well. I've wanted to toggle this for awhile. Like you said, it seems like you are just flashing the money portion to the forefront with every communication.
Hi @Carole. The templates that you create under Setup > Message Templates > My Templates can be used for Inquiry Responders and Stay Emails but not for Transactional Emails.
For Inquiry Responders, you can choose a template under "Send This Template"
For stay emails, you can choose a template under "What Template Do You Want to Send?"
For Transactional Emails, you jump straight into editing the MyVR default template
