@Danny-Eiden so this will allow me to update rates without writing over the whole property?
Yes! If you upload a rates CSV file that references your existing property, it will simply add rates on top of your existing rates. The CSV importer cannot remove rates or other property information. You can edit existing information, but adding new rates with unique identifiers (see the "Rate Id" column of the CSV template) will not touch your current rates.
Hi @Cindy-Nelson those rates will remain in your account, but they won't ever be applied. You would need to manually delete them. While I can see a case for automatically deleting them, I would also be concerned about any changes made to rates automatically that did that (for example, what if you had intended to have "repeat annually" turned on but then we deleted the rate). Thanks!
@Jenny-Oest Correct, this is a great one to submit as a feature request. It is the case that when you are first entering a property, you can submit a support request to us and we can replicate a property (or set of properties) for you. But it isn't something that is set up to be managed that way after these new "clone" properties have been created.
@Mary-Beth-Ericson Not a stupid question at all. If you have calendar dates vary each year, you will need to do one of the following:
In general, I would recommend you do not set the rate to repeat annually. Create a new custom rate period with accurate dates for each year.
If you don't have many guests booking a year in advance, keep the rates set as repeating annually, and then adjust after the rate period passes.
