@john-klein I was thinking of ABB, but I believe it’s also an option for HA-VRBO.

I recall being offered the opportunity to use that feature and declined it. I probably felt it was going to come out of my end as well.

@sebastien-long Yep. Just had our first ever Fraud cases. Both came through Booking.com. As noted, they do not have an identity verification process in place, whereas with VRBO-Homeaway and AirBnb they require you upload ID.

TripAdvisor is the odd one. I actually had them cancel a $14k reservation booked by the CEO of a German Automaker for Concours week in Pebble Beach as “Fraud Risk”. The guy still showed up and ended up in a hotel. Other than that, we’ve had no issues.

There are some great features built into MyVR’s channel management.

We currently have the Strictest Available Cancellation Policy with AirBnb, which costs 5.0%.
We offset that by increasing our rates 5.6% for the AirBnb channel.
We also pick up 15% of the Guest Fee for Booking.com.
Our rates are 17.7% higher on Booking.com…

Yes, you should be able to. Under ordinary circumstances, if you have less than five properties this would not be possible since VRBO requires you to have at least five properties to qualify for software integration.

One of the cool things about MyVR is the ability to purchase your VRBO listing through them which is how it’s possible for folks with less than five properties to fully integrate with VRBO.

As long as you’re using VRBO for Owners app, you can setup a refundable security deposit that would apply to VRBO reservations.

Those are all reasons why we moved away from Security Deposits and use the Damage Protection from Assurant.

Besides not having to pay the now non-refundable credit card fees for the Security Deposit, we don’t have to haggle with the guests over damages.

We chose to place $3000 coverage on each reservation as our costs regionally are very high. Ex. $65 per hour for a handyman.

There no longer seems to be a “pause” option. Has this capability been removed?

I believe that is considered a “Strict” Cancellation Policy.
“Free” requires the guest being able to cancel anytime.

@rick-storlie - The main thing I see with the GooglyMyBusiness app is a link to our villa web site. We try to keep up with all inquiries and reviews there so the listing stays active. Keeping in mind that “Google loves Google”. There are some caveats with google listings however - Google doesn’t police people who post bogus reviews about your location and you can suffer a falsely low rating that is not representative of your offerings.
